Last night Maxus picked up 2 silver awards at the Media Week Awards ceremony.

Maxus have been shortlisted in this years Campaign Media Awards for their work with BT.
The BT Heart to Heart campaign has been shortlisted in the Best Total Communications category. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in November - so watch this space! -

26/07/11 National Book Tokens Appoints Maxus for £600K Media Planning & Buying
National Book Tokens has appointed Maxus to be its media planning and buying agency.
National Book Tokens are the only gift cards that are sold and exchanged in all bookshops across the UK, including major chains, independent book shops and many supermarkets.
Alex de Berry, Managing Director of National Book Tokens said :
"We have been looking for a media agency to help us navigate through radically changing times and help make our offering even more compelling. We saw a number of good agencies but really felt that the Maxus team best understood the challenges we face".

Our work for BT has been shortlisted in the Media Idea - Long Term category.
And we have 2 shortlisted entries, for Triumph & Fiat in the Media Idea - Long Term Small.
Well done to the teams and fingers crossed for the award ceremony on 27th October.

08/03/11 Maxus deal sees BT become the first UK brand to advertise on Skype
Today sees BT become the first brand to advertise on Skype in the UK as part of their continued BT Infinity fibre rollout campaign.
The activity will run on selected days throughout March forming an important part of the bespoke activity planned and bought by Maxus. The campaign will showcase the potential possibilities of fibre optic broadband in proof environments where speed is critical to the user experience.
The Skype opportunity will take the form of a new masthead format which expands to showcase a full BT Infinity brand experience including multiple viceo images, and social share functionalities in a non-intrusive but always visible, premium format.

28/02/11 Maxus Launches Fiat 500 Loves London Campaign
From today Maxus have launched a media first partnership for Fiat with Lastminute.com. The London- focused campaign, known as "Fiat 500 Loves London", is about great things to do in London under £10; the saving made from not paying the congestion charge when driving a Fiat 500 TwinAir.
Fiat will own a section on Lastminute.com, which will host exclusive offers which are not available anywhere else on the site for a limited time. The offers are a range of exciting things to do in London under £10; from spa treats at The Hilton, comedy and theatre tickets, to lunch at Prism in Harvey Nichols. This is the first time Lastminute.com has run a campaign offering exclusive deals on behalf of a brand. There will also be 4 competitions throughout the campaign giving users the opportunity to win fantastic prizes for luxurious & fun weekends in London for 2 people.
The campaign also extends to Facebook with a brand new app, created by Yuki and Cergis, which allows users to browse the full list of suggestions for great things to do in London. As well as benefit from fantastic experiences under £10, users can also ‘check in’ at these suggested locations via Facebook places on their mobile, to be entered into a competition to win a fun weekend in London. The app will be populated with winning ideas submitted by readers through a Metro press and online competition to find the best things to do in the Capital for £10 or less, as well as Lastminute.com deals.
To get users excited and talking about the campaign, Fiat will also unlock extra special exclusive deals & prizes via Lastminute.com when the page reaches certain levels of Facebook fans.

15/02/11 Maxus Awarded a 1 Star Accreditation in Best Companies Awards
Maxus have been awarded a 1 star accreditation as one of the best companies to work for in the 2011 Best Companies Awards.
Best Companies Ltd are the same folk behind the prestigious Sunday Times list of 100 best companies to work for.
This is a great achievement for the first year of Maxus entering the awards and is testament to the importance we place on ensuring Maxus is a great place work.

Maxus have won the digital media account for the Woodland Trust, the conservation charity dedicated to protecting the UK's existing native woods.
Tim Irwin, Maxus Managing Director said "our digital resource is so strong now, it's a real opportunity for us to explore digital-only areas of new business". "Protecting the UK's woodlands is an important challenge and one that we're totally committed to supporting".

07/02/11 Maxus Launches Campaign for Fiat's Congestion-Charge-Free 500 TwinAir
Maxus have planned and bought a campaign for Fiat to promote the latest addition to the Fiat family, the Fiat500 TwinAir. The TwinAir has been declared exempt from the £10 a day London congestion charge due to its low CO2 emissions.
To let London commuters Know, Maxus launched a London focused multi-media campaign, seeking out key commuter touchpoints with the message 'Pay no congestion charge with the Fiat 500 TwinAir'.
The highlight of the campaign is Clear Channel's flagship site on the Cromwell Road. The creative runs across four consecutive 96 sheet billboards, creating the longest advertising face in the UK.
Designed by Krow and managed by Clear Channels Create team, this special build featured 3 real Fiat 500's (the first time in 10 years that real cars have been used) and draws commuters attention to the 'Pay No C Charge' message on one of the busiest arterial routes in and out of London.

We have some well deserved promotions to announce at Maxus.
So congratulations first to Kate Rigby, Kate Milligan and Emma Hunt who have all been promoted to Media Manager.
In the digital team, Mary O'Shea is promoted to Search Account Director and Tom Pugh to Search Manager.
Last, but not least, one of our longest serving employees, Louise Reid, has been promoted to Client Service Director.
